To help in digesting the food, gastric juices are present in the digestive systems if the hydrochloric acid present in the stomach increases in quantity, the condition is known as hyperacidity. This condition gives rise gastritis (inflammation of the mucus membrane of the stomach) and ulcers gastric, peptic and duodenal. Almost all these diseases present some difficulty in diagnosis because of confused symptoms, unless there is a bleeding ulcer. Generally the symptoms of dyspepsia appear.
SYMPTOMS OF ULCERS: -
Ulcers were at one time supposed to be the diseases from which industrialists, politicians and intellectually active persons, beset with worries, suffered, but lately it has been detected among manual laborers too. Of the causes, the most important is dietetic indiscretion, like ingestion of heavy meals, addiction to alcohol and smoking. Food poisoning, infections like influenza, septicemia and toxins like uremia and gout are the other causes of gastritis and ulcers. The mucous membrane of the stomach gets congested and too much of acid gives rise to wounds or ulcers. The size of the ulcers is from ¼ to inch in diameter, and it is either round or of an oval form. It tends to penetrate through the stomach. The first symptoms of ulceration in the stomach include dizziness, nausea, eructation and loss of appetite. Acidity goes on increasing leading to a burning sensation or even pain in the stomach which is relieved after ingestion of food. As the disease progresses there is distention of the stomach due to excessive flatulence, mental tension, insomnia, bad temper and gradual weakening of the body. Constipation also appears and sometimes the stools are tinged with blood.
Serious complications like hemorrhage, perforation and obstruction of the pylorus (the orifice through which food passes from the stomach to the intestine) also appears. Unless it is detected in time massive bleeding may lead to death. Traditional medicine has recourse to blood transfusions in an emergency but there is little else it can do for the patient.
In addition to dietetic indiscretions, habits of thought also play a vital role in cases of ulcers. These given to excessive worry, anger, tension, jealousy and hurrying are more prone to suffer from ulcers.
Allopaths also prescribe bland food free from acidity and condiments for ulcer patients, but they generally forget the psychological aspects of the disease they advise the ulcer patients, but they generally forget the psychological aspects of the disease. They advise the ulcer patients' alkaline diets or drugs containing alkali, but that is not anything more than a palliative.
DISTENSION OR DILATION:
Associated with hyperacidity is another disease of the stomach distension or dilation. It can occur without giving rise to any symptoms. If food is retained for a long time in the stomach in the stomach, it gives rise to fermentation. The condition is both painful and irritating. It also tells upon the general health of the sufferer.
Here, too only hope is the naturopathic way of controlling your diet. The regimen suggested for ulcers and hyperacidity can help such patients to recover quickly.
FLATULENCE: -
Some people from excessive wind in the stomach. There is a rumbling sound issuing from the insides, a couple of hours after meals. The sound is so loud that even other can hear it.
Rumbling sound after ingestion of food indicates a state of putrefaction in the stomach and the intestines. It indicates over eating and bad digestion. People who gulp down their food generally suffer from the malady. One must masticate the food properly. If one eats sweet, sour & refined foods one is merely inviting trouble. One should take natural foods; breakfast on fruits and lunch mainly on boiled vegetable.

WORM THAT INFEST THE INTESTINES: -
The intestines are sometimes infested by parasites, which trouble the patient. The most commonly noticed parasites are thread worm, tape worm, hookworm and the roundworm. They exist in the intestines because they and a congenial climate for their growth, which again is the result of wrong type of feeding, which most people indulge in. patients suffering from these worms generally acquire a voracious appetite, but inspite of massive quantities of food they take in, there is no gain in weight. Sometimes they are pale and sickly and, therefore, gloomy. Infants and young children are likely to be irritated all the time and are prone to throw tantrums at the slightest excuse.
The most common and the least harmful parasite infesting the intestines is the thread worm, or enterobius vermicular. When they are expelled from the anus, they tend to create uncontrollable itch and the patient is forced to scratch his anus. They are small, thread like creatures which can be noticed in the stools of children. Th hookworm and the tapeworm resemble earthworms. They are fortunately, less common in our country than thread worms.
CAUSES: -
It is the dirty habits, like eating food without washing your hands, putting the finger first in the nostril then in the mouth, eating contaminated food, scratching the anus and them eating food without thoroughly washing your hands, using underwear worm by a person suffering from thread worm, constipation and mucus in the stools, which encourage the parasites to infest the intestines.
HERNIA OF BOWEL: -
Hernia means the protrusion of any organ, or part of an organ, into or through the well of the cavity, which contains it. The most common form of hernia is the hernia of bowel, popularly known as rupture.

Pain may be experienced while coughing or straining at stool, but really acute pain is suffered when a hernia becomes strangulated as the result of stoppage of its circulation by the pressure of the opening through which it protrudes. It may become inflamed, turn acutely painful and may even produce peritonitis inflammation of the membrane lining the abdominal cavity and finally prove fatal.
