JAMBUL OR BLACK BERRY

Jambul is a common tree found all over India. Its fruits are very sweet. Appetizing to all taste and soothing. Jambul's leaves, bark and seeds are used in medicine. It helps in digestion, acts as an appetizer and diuretic. It has a decided action in checking and curing diabetes. It controls cough & bile.

HEALING POWER OF JAMBUL: -
DIABETES: -

  1. To control diabetes, 2-teaspoon powder of dry jambul fruits is taken twice a day or eating of fresh jumbul fruits is also recommended.
  2. Three to five grams of powdered seed with salt taken twice a day for a few days Eliminates sugar.
HEALING POWER OF JAMBUL: -
DIARRHOEA: -
Powdered seeds of jambul taken with half a cup of water, two to three times cures diarrhoea.

STRANGURY: -
Jambul juice or syrup taken two to three times a day for a few days cures strangury.

BED-WETTING: -
One teaspoon of powdered seeds of jambul taken with fresh water especially at night checks the habit of bed-wetting.

EXCESSIVE BLEEDING: -
- Half tsp. to one tsp powdered bark of jambul tree taken with milk stops excessive bleeding.

NIGHT DISCHARGE: -
Four gram of powdered jambul seeds taken with water morning & evening cure night discharge.

VOMITING: -
Taking boiled leaves of jambul & mango in equal quantity cures vomiting.

LEUCARRHOES: -
Powdered inner seeds of jambul taken with rice water (water separated after boiling rice) for a few days cures leucarrhoes.

STOMACH DISORDERS: -

  1. Four to eight grams of vinegar made of jambul juice twice a day with little salt cure stomachache, indigestion, and loss of appetite, problems of spleen & liver.
  2. Jambul juice with rock salt also cures stomach disorders.
STONES: -
Taking fresh jambul fruit or powdered seeds with curd eliminate stones.

WOUNDS: -

Paste of jambul leaves applied on wounds heals them. A part from this, jumble tree used in the eastern parts of India to rear silkworm for making a particular type of silk called tassar-silk. Jambul wood is very strong and durable, and boats are made. Hakeem Hashmi the eminent unani physician caution. That milk should never be taken immediately after eating jambul fruits.
