RADISH
THE ROOT THAT HEALS

Radish is cultivated through out the world round the year. Radish root are white or pink in colour. From ancient times, Radish is used as a food and also in medicinal remedies. According to Hakeem Hashmi, an eminent unani physician from India, Radish is unparallel in curing stomach ailments. All the parts of radish including its seed, stalks, beans, root, leaves, are used in food and medicine. Radish is an unique root, having hot & cold effect on the body simultaneously. Radish is pungent in smell and acidic in reaction. It is digestive, anti stomachaic, diuretic, blood purifier. It is germicidal and suppresses wind bile and phlegm. It decreases nervous tensions and useful in enhancing blood circulation.

INDIGESTION AND STOMACH AILMENTS: -

JAUNDICE: - In take of fresh Radish juice with sugar or with sugar can juice in the morning cures Jaundice.

BAD BREATH: - Taking juice with sugar candy eliminates bad breath.

RINGWORM: - Ground a paste of Radish seeds in lemon juice. Heat the paste and apply on the affected part to cure ringworms.

SKIN AILMENTS: -

STONES: - Taking one cup juice of fresh Radish 3 to 4 times a day and chewing its fresh leaves for few days helps in breaking stones and through them out. Regular intake of fresh Radish juice helps stopping the formation of gallstones.

URINARY PROBLEMS: - Consuming 30-40 grams of fresh juice cures irritation and pain urinating.

EYE SIGHT: - Eating one Radish daily is very effective for eyesight.

MENSTRUAL PROBLEMS: -

SEXUAL WEAKNESS: -

HICKUPS: - Chewing 4 or 5 leaves of Radish eliminates hickups.

STOMACH WORMS: - Taking Radish juice and lemon juice with little rock salt after meals destroys worms and throw them out.

LETHARGY: - Lethargy uanishes, by eating fresh Radish and its soft leaves with lemon juice sprinkled on it.
