Drugs for premature ejaculation can help some men, but they must be prescribed. Here is what doctors use, why online PE tablets are risky, and where natural treatment fits.

Is there a medicine for premature ejaculation?

Yes - several types of medicine can delay ejaculation, but none is right for everyone and all should be prescribed by a doctor who knows your health history. Medicine works best alongside behavioural techniques, and it treats the symptom rather than the underlying cause.

Premature ejaculation tablets and medicines doctors may prescribe

  • Dapoxetine: a short-acting tablet taken before intercourse, approved for premature ejaculation in India and many other countries. It is prescription-only because it is unsuitable with certain heart, liver and psychiatric conditions and medicines.
  • Other SSRI antidepressants: sometimes prescribed off-label at low doses for lifelong premature ejaculation, under medical supervision.
  • Topical anaesthetic creams or sprays (lidocaine/prilocaine): reduce sensitivity when applied before sex; they must be used correctly to avoid numbness for the partner.
  • Erectile dysfunction tablets: helpful when early ejaculation happens because of erection difficulty.

Why you should not buy PE tablets online

  • Products sold as “timing tablets” or “long time sex medicine” may contain undeclared drugs at unknown doses.
  • Combining hidden drugs with heart medicines (especially nitrates) can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure.
  • Side effects such as dizziness, fainting, nausea and headaches are more likely without proper dosing.
  • Self-medication can hide a treatable cause such as infection, thyroid problems or anxiety.

What is the best medicine for early ejaculation?

The best medicine is the one chosen after a proper assessment. For a man with anxiety-driven PE, counselling and behavioural therapy may be enough. For a man whose PE stems from erection difficulty, treating the erection problem comes first. For lifelong PE, a doctor may discuss prescription options.

Natural and Unani options

Many men prefer natural treatment. At Hashmi Dawakhana, Amroha, our hakims offer individually prescribed Unani treatment combined with stop-start, squeeze and pelvic floor exercises and lifestyle changes. We will also tell you honestly if your situation needs a different specialist.

When to see a doctor

  • Early ejaculation that has lasted more than a few months
  • Sudden change after previously normal control
  • Pain, burning, discharge or blood in semen
  • Erection problems, especially if you have diabetes or heart disease
  • Side effects from any medicine you are taking
